Commitment to the confidentiality of personal data

Since May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) supplements the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, to better protect privacy and give customers greater control over the use of their personal data. Ferotec is committed to guaranteeing the security, confidentiality and fair use of personal data collected.

The information collected

Ferotec collects the following data in connection with requests for quotations and for communication with its customers:

  • First and last name

  • Mailing address (if required for quotation or request)

  • E-mail address (for quotations and newsletters, if any)

  • Telephone number (for quotation requests or additional information)

  • Site navigation data

Personal information is collected via the contact and quote request forms on the Ferotec site (www.ferotec.eu) and via cookies to analyze site usage. The quote request and contact forms require explicit consent for data storage.

Your data rights

In accordance with regulations, you have specific rights:

  • Right to object: You may refuse the use of your personal data for certain purposes specified at the time of collection.

  • Opt-out: You can request that your personal data no longer appear in our databases, for example to stop receiving communications.

  • Right of access and rectification: You can consult, modify or request the deletion of your personal information.

To exercise these rights, you may :

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of each e-mail,

  • Use the site’s contact form,

Why do we collect this data?

The information collected is used for :

  • Handle requests for quotes and information,

  • Communicating with customers and prospects for sales or marketing information

    techniques,

  • Send newsletters and transactional e-mails,

  • Give access to our catalogs,

  • Analyze site traffic statistics.

Online advertising and cookies

Ferotec uses online advertising to promote its brand via platforms such as Meta, Google and LinkedIn. Third-party cookies enable these platforms to target similar advertising audiences. This data remains anonymous and hashed before being transmitted to the platforms. By refusing cookies, your browsing data will not be used for advertising targeting.

Confidentiality and data sharing

Ferotec does not sell or exchange customer or prospect data. This information is kept for 5 years and is only used by Ferotec teams and its subcontractors to manage requests for quotes and communications.

Data security

Personal information is stored in secure environments protected by passwords and two-factor authentication. Ferotec uses RGPD-compliant tools, such as Mailjet or Brevo for sending emails. These third-party service providers are responsible for the security of the data they process.

Incident notification

Ferotec makes every effort to ensure a high level of security, but the risk cannot be totally eliminated. In the event of a security problem involving your personal data, Ferotec undertakes to inform customers and the CNIL within 72 hours of the incident.
